ABOUT

Emily Sanchez is a Cinematographer and Director who grew up in San Antonio, TX before studying at The University Of North Texas, where she obtained her Bachelor's degree of Arts in Media Arts in Spring of 2020. Emily is now based and operates out of Austin, TX where she primarily works within the camera department on a wide array of different projects. She has particularly loved making music videos for the many different local Austin bands. Emily is a co-founder of a Latino Based film collective called Watchale that has had success with their short film The Sidewalk Artist, which was awarded The Grand Jury Prize at Slamdance Film Festival in 2023. She is passionate about telling meaningful stories that explore authentic human moments, and loves to intertwine absurd and surreal elements.
